We want to start the league at PROMPTLY 7:00pm if both teams can make it. If you are going to be late or know your going to be late every week let me know so we can hold matches accordingly

Handicap System will be configured based on position in the league

Costs:
$10 per team per week plus quarters to play on the tables($0.75)
Free Shot tickets each each for the team(No Bombs)
End of league party generally we have a bunch of wings to eat and free drinks

We will also have prizes for MIP(Most Improved Player) and MVP(Most Valuable Player) all voted by members of the league.

How the handicap system works for the league

Each team will be spotted points based on their standings in the league starting the 2nd week into league play. There is a 4 point max spot playing to 7 points.

We have currently 9 teams

1st) 0 point spot
2nd) 0 point spot
3rd) 1 point spot
4th) 1 point spot
5th) 2 point spot
6th) 2 point spot
7th) 3 point spot
8th) 3 point spot
9th) 4 point spot

Say if the 1st place team is playing the 7th place team, the score before the first ball is put into play will be 3 - 0 in favor of the 7th place team. 1st place team will have to score 7 goals to their 4 goals. USTSA rules apply on goals scored (see rules section)

Match Play
When teams play they will have a match sheet they have to fill out for the match to be official. The sheet will have the date, teams playing, handicap, then score, then winner of match. After each match you will have to turn the sheet in to track games. All matches, standings will be available on the website and will be printed out and hung up at the bar.

League Rules
USTSA rules apply for the league some quick rules are

No Spinning: Meaning no more than 360┬║ from the time you hit the ball to the time you leave the ball. After the ball is struck, you still have 359┬║ to rotate before a spin is called. I'm sure on the table somebody will let you know if it was a spin.

Ball off the table rules:
-If the offense shoots the ball off the table, the ball defaults to the defenders area.
-If the defense shoots the ball off the table, the ball defaults to the opposing teams
defense
-If the ball becomes airborne hits the table and comes back into play that is okay. If the ball becomes airborne and hits the scoreboard and comes back into play that is NOT okay. The ball will go to the team that did NOT cause the action of the ball leaving the table.

Passing:
-You can NOT pass from 5bar to 3-bar on a stopped ball. The ball has to be moving, also has to hit at least 2 guys before advancing the ball. See somebody for questions.
-You can not bounce off the wall more than 2 times, after two times you can still pass wall

*Leagues specific Rule - If you pass a dead ball or hit more than 3 walls you will get 2 warnings after that if you do it again it will be a loss of possession.

Ball into play:
-When the ball is put into play on the serve or ball off the table, you have to ask the opposing team "Ready" when they say "Yes" or "Ready" hit two guys now the ball is officially
"in play"

General League Info
-Show up promptly at 7:00pm; If both teams are available, matches will start. If you will be late please call myself (920.819.4424) or contact somebody at the bar.

-Cost will be $10/team($5/person) plus quarters for the tables

-Drink Specials are available for foosers along with shot tokens when you arrive

-I will NOT be keeping the money, money that is collected the nights of league will be kept in a safe at the bar

-If you know you will be out a week talk to myself or somebody in charge to set up the match in advance or after the week you'll be out to make sure that match was played

This is all liable to change depending on the amount of teams. The schedule above is only accurate if the nine teams listed in the post above are present and accounted for. If a tenth team joins us, they will replace the "BYE" you see in your schedule above.

I had a blast last night seemed like everybody did as well so I'm happy all teams showed up and had a good time. See ya'll next thursday, or out this weekend!

Yea it was a fun night and some good matches were indeed played. We made really good time too, we started a bit late and were still pretty wrapped up by 10oclockish.

Just a friendly reminder to all teams not to get frustrated, once the handicap system is in play things will get VERY interesting, especially with all of the balance in skill between the teams.

Good playing to my partner Tony, awesome clearing and a sweet job holding back Bryan in our last match. When blouis is on it's scary, and that boy was on.
