I should also be able to play this year. Bringing in new blood as well.

I got at least 1 friend from work that i finally convinced to join. Waiting on another. But, please for sure team me up with this new guy. Name is John D.

We need people to start forming their teams. I won't place you on a team unless you absolutely cannot find a team to play with, so call people ASAP so that I don't end up sticking you on Timmy's team.

The team list is modified, we currently need two more people to form a last team. If you know someone let me know.

Otherwise, we will either have 1 four man team or I can run the league and I can sub when needed. Running the league every week is a lot of work so I am okay with subbing and running the league.

Sean

2 things....
1) By "running the league" Sean means sitting on his ass drinking Vodka-Red bulls and smoking.
2) I want Sutton

Unfortunately, Sutton has signed on with Lindsay and James.

People still needing partners...

Lance, Erik H, Justy, Brian Meyer.

Hopefully we can find two more to make it 8 teams and no one left stranded.

(to be honest I do love sitting.)

As far as a schedule, We start Oct. 6th and will be going every other week. The week of x-mas break we are scheduled to have a match but will postpone it for 1 week. I will put the schedule up as soon as the teams are set. The cost will be $50 for the season per player as it was last year and I will post payout, trophy and other info too at that time.

How about this, dont pay out to last place. Its not little league and everyone isnt a winner. If I finish 3rd I should get my money back. If anyone has the "Its not about the money" comment, then the league should be free and the winner gets a smile and a hand-shake. Dont buy million dollar trophies and hats. Just pay out cash. You're taking in 1000 bucks. If thats the case, there is at least 700 to play for between 1st and second after paying for "parts" etc
Im playing with Lance and Justus

Last year we did take in $1200, and ended up paying to 4th place.

Last year, ...

1st place $240
2nd place $180
3rd place $150 (Note 3rd place got its money back)
4th place $120

plus $140 on hats and trophies ($999,860.00 less than $1,000,000.00) and $114.03 on table upkeep, and $20 added to the end of the year draw.

$100 was kept to carry forward to begin the next year and we have an additional $135.97 not used from last years fund for table upkeep, (that would have been an end of year refund to all players of $5.67, but in the past with such a small individual return people have decided to keep it in league.

Thus going into this year our fund has $235.97 left from last season.

Anyhow, we could get rid of trophies and hats and only pay to 3rd place. The original plan last year was to only pay to 3rd place but I believe some people wanted lower payouts with a better opportunity of winning money.

This year we are looking at 3 less players than last year so the fund will have $150 less to work with.

Considering our overage last year we can certainly put that in the pot for this year. What is difficult, is making sure that we have enough $$$ for upkeep and don't end up running short. Last year I allocated $250 for upkeep and we obviously did not use all of it.

I plan on allocating the same amount this year and carrying forward the $100 like always. The rest is going to go towards payouts and trophies.

If we choose to not have trophies and only pay to 3rd place then we are looking at and additional $260 that can be paid out to the top 3 teams.

so...

$135.97 carryover
$1050.00 dues
($250) table upkeep

leaves $935.97 for payouts.

Maybe,
1st $390
2nd $300
3rd $245

and $.97 to pay for the newest I-phones for me and Wanda. Or we could do like we did last year and have similar payouts and trophies.

Let me know.

Oldman

How about
Using 150 instead of 250 that we wont use anyway for parts.
All we need is new balls and kick Jeff some cash for
the ridiculous amount of parts he has (full set of men, handles, bearings, etc) as needed.
Then we can do
1st 550
2nd 300
3rd 150

Throw the extra 15 into the final draw
