League Overview:
Games will consist of 2 player teams preferably in an A/B style partnering. This is to help the game grow and have newer players play with a more experienced player to learn the game.

Generally you will have to play 2 matches per week; a BYE could happen depending on number of teams in the league

Each match will consist of 3 games played to the total of 7 points per game.

Handicaps will be issued to the teams based on placement in the league. See website for details


League Substitutions:
If you will be not able to attend a night at league and would not like to make up games you can get a sub to play for you
- Sub should be equal or lesser skill set then partner absent
- If only sub you can find is a higher quality player, a handicap will be set to compensate for skill change per League Admin
- If sub plays 4 consecutive times, they become your permanent partner your original partner then because a sub
- You can use players in the league to sub for you(if they do not have a match to play on the original team), or you can find your sub elsewhere


Match Makeup:
You can only make up one (1) week worth of matches. If you are out for no legitimate reason for two(2) weeks you will forfeit your matches from the first week you missed
Example: You missed week 1 and week 2 - The 3rd week you show up, you can only make up matches from Week 2, your Week 1 matches were forfeited

Some exceptions
-Sick
-Vacation
Just let the League Admin know ahead of time and you could play your matches out a week and then make up a week so you get to play all your games


Tardiness Policy:
League will start promptly at 7:30 in the order in which teams are listed for that particular week (See Website for matches played ÔÇô Schedule will also be posted at The Bar East). For every 45 minutes you are late for your match 1 point will be added to the handicap.

If you know you will be late every week due to school / work or other reason, please let the League Admin know ahead of time so we can get other matches playing while your match is postponed. If you let us know ahead of time the point assessed due to tardiness can be waived if the opposing team has no problem waiting.

League FeeÔÇÖs:
Cost of playing will be $10.00 per team plus quarters to play matches. One free drink card will be handed out for teams that play. All money collected is used to have end of league party, trophies, and payouts at the end of the league. NO MONEY IS COLLECTED BY THE BAR OR LEAGUE ADMIN.

With so many people out sick, and so few matches played last night, it's very inaccurate of us to assign handicaps at this point. We are hoping everyone will show up next week so that we can get a good feel for who belongs where and deserves which handicap. More to come on this...

Also, we'll be talking to Matt/Pete to see if they can even make league, if they can't they'll be turned into a BYE (since no one has played them yet)

We will have an answer on that before Week 3.

Right now we are slotted to have 19 matches to be played next week, so it'll be a very busy night. That number could change, but either way we are asking people to show up as soon as they can, so we aren't all there til 1am.

Regarding handicaps, we are going to play the first 4 make-up games before starting any Week 3 matches. Once those are done, Bryan and I will jump on a computer (either my laptop or the bar's computer) and figure out handicaps. It shouldn't take too long, and then we'll be set.

We want to thank everyone who came early and played late last night. We didn't get to start as early as we wished because not all teams were there, but we wrapped up everything around midnight.

League should never last that long, we just had to do about 1.5 hours of make-up games before we could start. Thanks to everyone for their patience as we moved the night along.
