Myles- I can see why you decided to postpone this tourney. When no one pre-registers, or even posts on this board that they're going, it's hard to put the time, money and effort into it. I posted a few weeks back asking if anyone was planning on attending this event. No one responded yes. While I have attended the last 4 WI States(among multiple other WI events) I didn't want to waste a weekend, and a 4 hr drive each way, to play against 5 other teams.
Foos isn't what it used to be. You can't just create a tournament and expect 100 people to show up. Had these people, who are now responding that they were planning on going, actually written those posts a week or two ago, I'm sure it would have taken place. If you're reading the board, and were actually planning on attending, why not just throw a "I'll be there" post out there? Too much to ask? Well, if typing less than a dozen letters is too much of a task on your busy life maybe you should try running a state tournament.
Maybe it's just me, but I don't think you let us down, Myles. I think it was us who let you down.
