I will be very honest with you, I didn't want to respond anymore to the layout of the tournament, but some people just don't get it.

I don't think that people decide to go or not to go to tournaments because of who is going to be there. It isn't that we decided to cut out the pro/masters because they kept people away. Some of those very people are my friends and I want them there too! But when you have so few pro/masters there it was just decided to cut out the open events and give that prize money to the majority of the participants who are there.

I am very sorry if anyone took it personally. I really wish that some of my pepole who weren't happy with the layout of the tournament would have contacted me directly and maybe things could have changed. The flyer has been out since summer but I din't hear a word until the beginning of September. Sorry, it was to late to change anything. I would loved to talk to some of the people out there and see if there is a way to make it work.

I put alot of time and energy into the Halloween tournament to make it the best tournament it can be. Every year we look at who came and who didn't and brainstorm to make the tournament better next year. Well this year won't be any different. On Monday morning, Bill and I will sit down and figure if the changes we made were worth it or not. (if you look at past flyers going back 10 years, you will see the tournament is never the same year to year) Both with player participation and the every dreaded time factor will be considered. I already have ideas about the 2010 Halloween Bash, but I really want to make it through this one first.

Nope, not bashing. You guys do a great tournament and wouldn't miss it. I don't think players are not going to be there because of a no pro event. Its the best tournament around. Im trying to rally the troops from Madison. Our league starts next week so the timing is good.

Give the money to the majority of people that are there ?

So you guys have fallen into the ( don't hurt any ones feelings huh ? ) maybe we should just pay all the way back to last place then. And everybody gets the same payout.

I don't care what anybody says, this is weak. How many rookies and semi's ride down from MN, or MI with the pro's or PM's usually ? guess we'll find out.

Cory and Billy you guys run a great event, but this sucks.
And I know that i said something about the format from the start, when i heard rumor.

I definatly would prefer to have the tournament be open to Pros and Masters. I dont get the chance to play alot, let alone against the better players. But I did go to the Halloween tourny last year and I know that Tony was the only Master and I think there were maybe 3-4 Pros which was a big let down.
Guess I dont really understand the reasoning behind changing the format, but maybe the Pros/Masters will show more interest in this tournament next year if they change it back to an Open event which I hope they do.

So from last years turnout I dont think the numbers will be that much lower or any higher because of the whole No Pro thing... I am still hoping to win the lottery so I can go to this tournament.
